After breakfast departure at 8 am for a 3 hour journey, arriving at the old port of Mogador, built by the Portuguese on a narrow headland next to a huge sandy bay. It is surrounded by impressive walls built by the French in the XVIII century; the town is mainly for pedestrians and is divided into various quarters. From the top of the Skala you can see the colorful fishing port, its monuments and Spanish cannons.
Essaouira is also famous for its superb crafts; especially woodwork (tuya) objects engraved out of lemon wood, ebony, pearl and also copper string and silver. In the afternoon we return to Marrakech. ...
